About the opportunity

Working in our maintenance crews, the Truck Driver/Labourer plays a vital role in servicing our community. You will be responsible for undertaking truck driving and labouring duties associated with the maintenance and construction of roads, paved areas, drainage facilities and parks in a safe and timely manner. In addition to driving the trucks, you will be responsible for the general servicing and overall maintenance of the vehicles, and will also have the ability to operate and maintain minor plant and equipment such as hand mowers and hand tools.

Total Remuneration: $63,285 - $73,102 per annum (see below for breakdown)

  • Base Salary: $55,517 - $64,282 per annum
  • Plus 12% superannuation: $6,780 - $7,832
  • Plus Adverse Working Conditions Allowance: $987.62

This role also has a potential to undertake up to 5 hours overtime per week ($10,586 - $12,258 per annum based on 5 hour range - not included in total remuneration).

About You

To be considered for this role it is essential that you hold a current MR drivers licence (minimum) as well as a White Card. Your experience and knowledge in road and drainage construction and maintenance techniques as well as your competency in undertaking labouring duties for civil projects will be pivotal to your success in this role. You will also have experience in safely operating, servicing and maintaining vehicles, with a demonstrated commitment to safety.
