About the Opportunity

Are you looking to contribute to the development and growth of your community? 

We are seeking a dedicated Planning Assessment Officer to join our team. In this impactful role, you will play a key part in the efficient and effective assessment of development applications and other development control functions within the Cessnock LGA. Every day brings new challenges as you assess a wide range of proposals, from urban housing development and subdivisions to temporary events and commercial and industrial developments.

To succeed, you will need a degree in Town Planning (or a related qualification) and an understanding of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979.  Previous experience in a similar role will be advantageous. Your ability to manage planning issues and provide advice will be key to your success.

Remuneration

$85,156 - $97,929 per annum plus superannuation
