Expression of Interest – Library Children's Officer
Expressions of Interest (EOI) are being called for employees interested in a secondment opportunity in the position of Library Children’s Officer for a period of 9 months, commencing Monday 15 September 2025 until Friday 26 June 2026.
The main focus of the position is to develop and deliver high quality children’s programs and events, as well as information and reader’s advisory services for children that meet the Library’s strategic objectives.
If you are interested in submitting an expression of interest please address the following criteria in your submission:
- Demonstrated experience, enthusiasm and innovation in the development, delivery and evaluation of children’s programs and experience in delivering library literacy and lifelong learning programs.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and accurately using written and verbal methods of communication.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the use of an integrated library computer management system.
- Ability to work in accordance with a roster including Saturday and evening work across various locations where Council provides Library services and includes outreach points.
- Valid Working with Children Check (WWCC)
This position is in Grade 6 of Council’s Salary system.
