About the opportunity
Are you ready to roll up your sleeves and get painting? We’re on the lookout for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our team as an Apprentice Painter. In this hands-on role, you’ll dive into the world of painting and decorating - helping maintain and brighten up Council buildings and facilities. You’ll work alongside experienced painters, picking up valuable skills while working toward your Certificate III in Painting and Decorating. If you’ve got a keen eye for detail, love working with your hands, and want to start a career where you can really make your mark, this is your chance!
About you
To succeed in this role, you will have:
- Basic knowledge of Painting and Decorating and ability to complete a Certificate III in Painting and Decorating;
- Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills and sound literacy and numeracy skills;
- Demonstrated ability to effectively work in a team environment, participate in group situations, and encourage teamwork and cooperation;
- Demonstrated willingness to undertake training, learn new skills and trial and develop new work practices;
- Holder of or willingness to obtain within 3 months of commencement a Work Health and Safety General Construction Induction (White Card); and
- Highly Desirable: Current Provisional or Class C Drivers Licence.

Remuneration:
Salary as per the Local Government (State) Award plus superannuation
