We’re looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Trainee Business Support and grow with us! No experience? No problem. If you’re eager to learn, take initiative, and provide excellent customer service, this trainee role is the perfect place to start your career.

In this role, you’ll become an essential part of the Works and Infrastructure Directorate by providing top-notch customer service to both Council staff and the community. You’ll get hands-on experience with real office tasks like managing mail, ordering supplies, and keeping everything running smoothly. Plus, you’ll develop important skills that will set you up for success in any business career.  

About you

We are searching for a highly motivated, enthusiastic candidate who is looking to develop a career in Business Administration and Customer Service. No formal training or experience is necessary however you must have: 

  • Minimum completion of Year 10 or equivalent with passes in English or equivalent and ability to undertake a Certificate IV in Business Administration;
  • Demonstrated ability in the use of Microsoft Office, email and internet;
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing;
  • Demonstrated positive attitude to teamwork; willingness to learn and demonstrated initiative; and
  • Demonstrated commitment to providing good customer services.

Remuneration

Hourly rate as per the Local Government (State) Award plus superannuation
