About the Opportunity

If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you!

We’re looking for a dedicated and experienced individual in Civil Construction or Maintenance to join our Works and Operations team as a permanent Area Maintenance Inspector. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for road related maintenance concerns, working closely with residents to investigate and resolve issues. You’ll also be responsible for monitoring the condition of Council’s Local Road and Bridge networks by conducting inspections to identify hazards or maintenance needs, and coordinating resealing and rehabilitation programs.

Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability plan and manage road maintenance activities are essential. You will also be responsible for accurately documenting task progress and efficiently managing service requests to ensure timely, high-quality outcomes that meet community expectations.

Remuneration

$81,605 - $94,490 per annum plus superannuation and a leaseback vehicle.

About You

To be successful in this position, you will have a Certificate IV in Local Government or a relevant equivalent qualification and five years of hands on experience in civil construction and maintenance, with a strong focus on roads and drainage.

You also hold the following required certifications:

  • Prepare a Work Zone Traffic Management Plan or equivalent certificate
  • White Card – Work Safely in the Construction Industry
  • Current Class C driver’s licence
