Council is looking for a passionate and driven leader to join the People and Culture team as the Safety and Risk Coordinator. This is a rare opportunity to shape how risk, safety, and wellbeing are managed across the organisation. You will be welcomed into a highly collaborative and capable team, fostering a strong safety culture and supporting risk based decision making while delivering Council’s safety and risk strategies and initiatives.

In this role, you will lead the implementation and continuous improvement of Council’s Enterprise Risk Framework, including Business Continuity Plans and the strategic risk register. You will manage Workers Compensation and insurance functions, ensuring compliance, effective claims management, and risk mitigation. Collaborating with the Executive Leadership Team and management, you will provide practical advice and support while driving initiatives that embed a positive safety culture and strengthen organisational risk maturity.

If you have a degree in Work Health and Safety, Business, or a related discipline, along with comprehensive experience in a similar safety and risk leadership role within a fast paced, customer focused environment, and proven experience leading and supporting a team to achieve results, we want to hear from you.

Remuneration

$131,754 - $151,518 per annum plus 14% superannuation and a leaseback vehicle.

  • Full-time position 35 hours per week
