About the Opportunity

Cessnock City Council has an exciting opportunity to join our Ranger Services team as a Parking Officer.

In this role, you'll play a crucial part in enforcing legislation, focusing on parking enforcement, managing unattended items, and ensuring public safety. Your expertise will also be instrumental in developing and implementing educational programs to enhance understanding and compliance within our community. 

The Parking Ranger performs a diverse range of duties including:

  • Investigating and taking appropriate action in relation to unattended items;
  • Enforcing Roads and Traffic Regulations relating to on-street parking, footpath obstruction, heavy vehicles on local and main roads and mobility parking scheme.
  • Ensuring accurate and decisive professional service is provided to the community, ensuring confidentiality is maintained and matters are dealt with in a timely manner; and
  • Developing and implementing education programs for Ranger Services. 

To be successful in this role, you will have had exposure to parking enforcement and an interest in working within a regulatory environment, supported by experience in roles such as Ranger Services, Animal Control, or policing.

Remuneration

$75,969 - $87,964 per annum plus superannuation and a leaseback vehicle
