About the Opportunity

Our Outdoor Aquatic Facilities are preparing for the upcoming season and are focused on delivering a welcoming and well run experience for our community.

We're seeking friendly, customer focused individuals to join our team for the 2026/2027 pool season, with casual opportunities available across both Cessnock and Branxton Pools. 

In this role, you’ll be the first point of contact for visitors, supporting the smooth daily operation of the facility. This includes managing point of sale transactions, processing memberships, handling Learn to Swim enrolments, and assisting with general enquiries.

You’ll also support safe and compliant operations by following food handling requirements and assisting with water safety initiatives such as the Royal Life Saving Keep Watch program.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing friendly and efficient customer service to all pool users.
  • Operating a computerised point of sale system for sales and memberships.
  • Managing kiosk operations, including food and beverage sales.
  • Processing Learn to Swim enrolments and related enquiries.
  • Supporting a clean, safe and well-presented facility environment.
  • Following Council procedures, including food handling and WHS requirements.
  • Promoting water safety through the Keep Watch program.

Remuneration

$40.68 - $47.11 per hour (Inclusive of Casual Loading)
