About the opportunity
Do you have experience in Development Compliance, Health and Building or Environmental Management?
We have a newly created opportunity for an accomplished leader to join our Compliance Services Team. Utilising your knowledge and experience from a similar role, you'll facilitate, coach and mentor your team to administer and enforce legislation, and develop strategies, policies and programs for the community in alignment with Council's strategic plan.
Key responsibilities of the position include to apply and oversee:
- Council's Development Compliance program;
- Regulation of contaminated land through planning and development processes including the implementation of Council's Contaminated Land Policy; and
- Pollution prevention and control initiatives associated with regional illegal dumping (RID), underground petroleum storage systems and non-scheduled activities.
The ideal candidate would have a background in Compliance Services, strong knowledge of relevant legislation and demonstrated experience conducting a wide range of investigations, particularly within a highly political environment.

Remuneration:
$110,170 - $126,696 (inclusive of market premium) per annum plus superannuation and a leaseback vehicle. Financial assistance for relocation to the area is also available.
